UPDATE: The planes were side-by-side for two full days, in an isolated part of the airport.
The Russian plane is the one the Kremlin uses to move people and documents from the United States to the Kremlin.
There has been no explanation for this—and media has not asked about it.

Takes more than a shitty writer and a shittier editor to allow the use of something like “land long used by Palestinians” when what’s meant is ‘Palestinian land’. Takes a whole rotten institution.
This connotes that it’s not Palestinian land - just used by them.

NY Times seems unable to use the words "Palestinian land" despite generations of ownership—so instead we get the delightful phrase "land long used by Palestinians"

Six years ago today, an Israeli sniper took the life of volunteer nurse Razan al-Najjar, who was 22 years old, on the Gaza border. Razan was providing first aid to the injured and was wearing her medical uniform.

It’s been estimated that it will take 14 years to clear the rubble and unexploded bombs in Gaza and it would take over 50 years to restore all the fully destroyed housing units. 50 years! People’s whole lives and hard work gone in seconds & would take 50 years to get back.
