I’m so tired of this fucking iPhone keyboard, it’s not even funny. There’s no way it’s just me that has to keep going back to correct things

Spellbinding moment. Just blundered into 4 wild Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos feeding on the seeds of a Silver Banksia I planted for them in 2020. They let me watch. After, I picked a cone they left. I'll use its seeds to grow more for the boundary fence.

@agvocate_au They are very welcome, considering where else in the yard I can plant one or two more!

@Jess_H19 How lovely. I passed farms on Occupation Lane that have taken out the old pines. Slowly but surely the pine seed supply is going. Your tree will be very important to them.

@agvocate_au Guess who’s back 😍 Being super careful to peek quietly & not scare them! I think there’s one so far but wow he’s getting into it 😆

@agvocate_au Probably the same repair regime who removed bitumen along the LH section past the falls, and then abandoned it. 🙄🤦

@Jess_H19 Seen some close misses. I indicate way back. I'd hate the swing through it on a bike. Trucks have gone off on that corner but it doesn't seem to matter to the repair regime.

State road repairs lasting just 6 weeks. The spray gravel is completely gone & original potholes are breaking back through the patches.

To calm down after learning a council bloke is telling a Govt Dept bloke that my work is his work I stopped to look at Mt Emu Creek. Ahhhhhh. Ahhhh f*ck. Distinctive feral cat face only 4km from my traps.

@landry235 Love finding a good hairdresser! Can't stand the upsell or the gossipy small talk. I found one locally who can style my super thick hair, doesn't care that I'm letting it go grey naturally & we both enjoy camping. Perfect 😃

Got the best hairdresser today. She hadn’t been to the ASIO integration academy She didn’t try to cut my hair into some hideous unmanageable style or try and talk me into colour or highlights. It was actually enjoyable for a change.

@stationmum101 I made the mistake of staying at the Pt Pirie caravan park for a night, couldn’t find a beach so took a drive to Port Germein. Really wished I’d stayed there instead, much nicer.

@agvocate_au @Steve_Dimo It will be interesting to see what their 'local' definition is. I don't have an issue with a user pays system provided the funds stay in the region to fix roads & improve local facilities. Sadly we all know that won't be the case.

Soon visitors to 12 Apostles on the Great Ocean Rd will have to pay to visit. "People who live near the site will be exempt". Define "near" @Steve_Dimo Works in Corangamite Shire near or lives in Moyne/Warrnambool near ? Is Tower Hill next on your user pays list?

@agvocate_au I seen a reference very recently to the 'near miss' that's too often seen as 'ohh lucky' and a badge of honour, instead of an opportunity to fix the problem before the next person is injured or killed.

“They [farmers] do live on the edge a fair bit of the time, but I guess what happened was probably a little bit sillier than the normal stuff." Normal stuff kills farmers. Like standing on a pallet held high up on the tractor forks. nzherald.co.nz/nz/golden-bay-…

@agvocate_au It’s bloody disgraceful that it’s not audited, and when it’s being raised they are gaslighting you. Reeks of jobs for mates, laziness or ass covering. Maybe a dose of all 3 🙄

@Jess_H19 What I saw today says they didn't do that & surrounding roads at all. They're not officially audited so they keep getting away with it. Today was 11yrs of raising this, sharing proof of failure & getting a brick wall on properly solving it - coming to a head.

Oh so NOT MINDING MY TONE ! Them: At front desk so all in customer service can hear that 'dont question our systems'. "Our contractor treated all the gorse on x road in November". Me: With what? Glitter? That's 4 year old gorse. Missed for 3 years.

@Jess_H19 Thanks Jess. Tinseling thistles is pretty hard core niggly. Love it. The pencil that tried to belittle me forgets I've spent over a decade building a strong, fun, polite relationship with their Customer Service team. Being a tosser to me will bite in other ways.

@agvocate_au @VicFarmers I hear you. Most of the roads I'm pretty familiar with but you're only ever one minor mistake (or someone else's!!) from a serious accident, very grateful we have very decent vehicles provided.

@Jess_H19 @VicFarmers I feel this personally every day or night I drive local roads. Some I won't drive after dark. It used to be watch out for roos & stick to main rds. Now they all get an F for craters & edge drop offs & vehicles driving the centre line to avoid them.

ALL ! those tar patches put on 6 days ago have reappeared from under the tar & gravel smear applied 5 days ago. Shows how thin that coat of tricked up empty promises was. This is NOT fixing our roads. This is expensive, ineffective, dangerous, performative nonsense.
Agvocate_Au tweet media
Agvocate_Au@agvocate_au

This morning it got a smear of tar & gravel straight over those patches. Over 4 hrs later there is still NO signage to warn trucks, motorbikes, & cars turning off the A1 of the loose dangerous surface on an already dodgy corner. @VicFarmers
