@carlrichell @system76 We have apt caching infrastructure in place but sadly it wasn’t enough to avoid impact. Are you able to go into more details on what you’ve spun up to reduce future outage impacts? From the brief research we did, snap couldn’t be cached in this way.

Ubuntu 26.04 LTS is getting closer to shipping pre-loaded on @system76 hardware.
DDOS attacks on Ubuntu infra slowed things down. We built new infrastructure to remove our Launchpad dependency and speed up releases moving forward.

Alienware is finally bringing OLED tech to the masses. 🖥️🔥
We’re used to seeing OLED gaming monitors go for around $1,000, but Alienware is shaking things up. Their new 27–inch display delivers the 1440p resolution and 240Hz refresh rate for only $350.
It is the cheapest OLED monitor to ever hit our lab. It even undercuts recent budget–friendly models from brands like Gigabyte. 🤯👾

@digitalix @flaviuvlaicu @dcapitella Ok cool. It’s weird that the balanced and quiet modes are louder than the performance mode.
Rack mode is LOUD though. Haven’t benched the performance difference between the modes, curious if performance is actually lower than the others since the fans spin less..

I spent months trying to make this Strix Halo AI cluster work the way I thought it should. (new video linked below) @dcapitella had the key

English

@digitalix @flaviuvlaicu @dcapitella Go into the bios and switch them to performance mode. Performance mode is the quietest (I haven’t got the slightest idea why but trust me)

@MissKyliee Is it possible to use your phone as a hotspot in the meantime?

@SnazzyLabs Titanfall 2 is still one of my favorite single player experiences. Great story, great mechanics, amazing visuals, buttery smooth performance.
English

@Jessassin Yes, so we hold on tight and brace ourselves to avoid any relative motion.

Do you gain weight in space? How would you know?
Obviously a weigh scale won't work when we're weightless. So we climb on an oscillating spring, and time the change in speed. From that, we can calculate our weight (or 'mass').
After 6 months I stayed the same mass, but lost fat & gained muscle with the healthy diet (no beer or pizza) and daily exercise.
The most exclusive of all health spas :)

@MissKyliee As a kid we always sat through the credits. Most people did. Now most don’t and it’s kinda sad

@ZacksJerryRig I don’t know. It sounds like you have too much freedom to say whatever you want. /s
English

It's actually all the videos of Israel blowing up residential apartment buildings and blocking the aid trucks. But sure. Blame social media.

BREAKING: Benjamin Netanyahu claims social media is fueling declining support for Israel and says there is too much freedom for people to say “whatever they want.”

@TradFidiGuy @ChristianLempa If it didn’t use SQL I might’ve moved, but I get what you mean. Im also not a fan of how it handles HA. I’m sure Kea is a better product but I also just don’t have the motivation to learn it properly.
English

@Jessassin @ChristianLempa Yea, still on ISC. Kea just rubs me the wrong way and haven’t taken the time.
Gonna have to switch sooner or later.

What are you using for DNS in your homelab right now?
Pi-hole or AdGuard Home? Unbound? Technitium? Plain router DNS because it “just works”?
DNS feels boring until it breaks everything. What's your current stack?
