@HeikkiMLuoma @BohuslavskaKate Idiot!!! Remember Winters war! Yeah Finland would have starved. Everything was blocked and Stalin was breathing on our Beck after Winter war and nobody was helping. So Finland was forced to take rhe Germany card.

@BohuslavskaKate “never alone again.” Finland wasn´t alone. We were with Germany. More than 200 000 German troops were in Finland fighting Soviet Union.

STUBB: Main reason why we joined NATO was security-based. In World War II we had similar experience to what Ukraine had. Soviet Union invaded us, we ended up having to give up 10% of our territory, including areas where my grandfather, grandmother, and my father were born. We were limited in our sovereignty regarding institutions we could join. So we felt very strongly for Ukraine and said “never alone again.”

I'm gonna let you in on a little secret that someone I know that used to work for 1 of those budget airlines told me. Those things are off by 0.2cm on width & length. Just tiny enough to not be noticeable. Its done so they can charge you extra luggage. Don't believe? bring a measuring tape with you next time. FYI Removing 0.2cm on width & length removes a total of 0.8cm from your luggage allowance. Just enough to scam you into paying.

@pdjezierski @akoz33 YES! Universitys here in Finland gave foreign students tuition free education with no proof of real income. Results was they were starving and relying of food banks. 90% leave Finland after graduation... Now they have to pay and numbers dropped like a stone

Polish universities have repeated all the mistakes the Japanese ones made 2 or 3 decades earlier. Foreign (mostly Chinese) students were also seen as a solution in Japan but the outcome was disappointing. Unlikely to work better in Poland.
Notes from Poland 🇵🇱@notesfrompoland

Poland is taking steps to attract more foreign students as universities face lower enrollment due to demographic decline. Turkey, South Korea, Vietnam and Uzbekistan are among the countries with which the government is cultivating stronger academic ties notesfrompoland.com/2026/04/25/pol…

@pdjezierski @akoz33 Polish is more difficult language then Finnish most will leave. It won't help with demographics. Nobody will come If there is tuition payment. So Polish tax payer will pay for their education and after that they leave...

Reality check for people in the Baltics: Has any NATO member head of state affirmed that their country will declare war against Russia if Russia invades any of the Baltic states? Sadly, the answer is no. Baltics must act with the assumption that no one will come to their defense.
Igor Sushko@igorsushko

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned that Russia could attack a NATO alliance member in ‘months.’ This means that Russia is close to having certainty that the US won't act when the Baltics are attacked, just like the assurance Putin got from Biden pre-invasion of Ukraine.
