The Islamic Dilemma says that the Qur'an affirms the scriptures of Jews and Christians. Therefore, if the scriptures are true, then Islam is false because the Qur'an contradicts them. Further, if the scriptures are corrupted, then the Qur'an is false because it affirms them. Abdulrahman Abdulghany invited me to discuss this topic with him so that he can try to prove why the argument does not work. There is no nation that exists in a vacuum. I don't even understand what Matt means. Do we not need allies? Are other nations neutral? This seems bizarre. If you care about America you must make other nations also care about it. You also must protect it from enemies. Isolationism is so strange to me and on its face absurd.

I think Matt is referring to me here, as I've been saying this for years. If a principal does not work on a micro level, it does not work on a macro level. Try "Matt Only" in your marriage and see how it goes. When the air masks in the plane come down, sure, put yours on First. Great. But if its Matt only, then you are not only not a good Christian—you are not even a good human. We are Americans. We can do better than this.

Despite this video being clearly fake, it shares a Venn Diagram with continuationists who think Smith Wigglesworth actually healed a baby by throwing it against a wall, or who think Todd Bentley cured cancer by punching people in the gut. If you told of a demon-possessed woman climbing walls, without showing the video, they'd absolutely believe it.

We're big fans of church history and think many wonderful pastors have come before us that had powerful impacts on the world and we can learn from them today. I don't think we're violating 1 Cor 3:21 by appreciating the great brothers in Christ that have come before us. AS Hebrews points out, what a great cloud of witnesses we have, and 2000 years of church history has added 2000 years of faithful witnesses we can learn from.

John MacArthur, RC Sproul, Voddie Baucham, John Piper... It feels like we're in a unique moment in history where the church has no one to replace the old guard.

It was about a year of processing what the heck happened. Then a few months thinking about how to respond and consider the influence on our own faith and ministry. Then about 5 months of working on it with different people. Not a timing thing. Just felt like for our own team we needed to do something. Life is busy. And to make this a priority was difficult. But it's out thank God. I'm moving forward.
