Most DACA recipients are over the age of 31. They began adulthood with a new chance: work, drive & live without fear of deportation. Now, with the admin goal to limit protections they risk losing that opportunity & all they built with it. My latest: npr.org/2026/05/19/g-s…

WOW: here’s an email showing how a USCIS staffer was ordered to include claims in the TPS terminations that had zero empirical evidence. She put her objections in writing to ensure that there would be written proof and because she knew it would open the up to lawsuits.

JUST IN: Judge blocks Trump administration's revocation of temporary protected status (TPS) for Yemen. Judge Dale Ho (Biden/SDNY) says then-DHS Secy Kristi Noem did not follow required process. The sheer bureaucratic violence of it all never ceases to disgust me. We say abolish ICE, I also say 1) mass amnesty now 2) free them all 3) abolish deportations. Enough. No one should be targeted with the violence of being arrested, chained, detained due to their place of birth.

Statistics confirm that immigration courts have created a "rocket docket" for Somali nationals, advancing their hearings with little notice and assigning cases to specific judges bklg.org/blog/somali-ro…

What's the difference between states like Florida, where ICE arrests are sky-high, and states like Illinois with much lower rates of arrests? It's all about police & jails. Arrest rates out of homes, workplaces, etc are similar – but reining in sheriffs makes all the difference.

A reminder as lawmakers vote on DHS funding: In less than 10 years, funding for immigration policing and detention swelled by 171%.

If you want to know where the U.S.'s priorities lie, funding for immigration policing & detention skyrocketed by $20 billion in less than 10 years. Meanwhile, funding for vital community resources–like public libraries–didn't even keep up with inflation. prisonpolicy.org/reports/money2…

Last year, the U.S. spent more than $200 billion on policing – a 40% increase in less than 10 years. Meanwhile, funding for libraries only increased 22%, which doesn't even keep up with inflation. Reveals a lot about the country's priorities.

This is insane. Also, don't think for a second ICE will not make collateral arrests in households.

This is a major expansion of ICE powers. ICE has long relied on probation/parole depts to enter homes residences to snatch people up in states that permit it. Illinois does not! Until now, this was limited to households w/someone on probation/parole. cnn.com/2026/01/21/pol…

Ben Johnson has been making the #Bears practice in the cold without heaters this season. Kevin Byard laughed and said it’s been a complaint among players, but now he thinks it’s paying off.
