Behind these numbers are real people lying awake at night - trying to figure out how they’re going to pay rent, keep their business open, or make it through another month. Ontario should not feel this impossible for so many people.

At a time when Ontarians are struggling with groceries, gas, and rent, the Premier bought himself a luxury private jet.     There’s a lot of unknowns about the jet: ⁉️ When did the purchase take place? ⁉️ Has it actually been sold, and for how much? ⁉️ How much did renovations cost? ⁉️ Were other options - such as flying commercial like everyone else - considered? Today in Committee, I moved a motion: for an investigation and value-for-money audit of the jet by the Auditor General to find the answers. The Conservatives voted it down.

Today, Doug Ford has a chance to do the right thing and pass my proposal for a Youth Summer Jobs plan. The government will vote on this at around 3PM – head to YouthSummerJobs.ca and send an email to your MPP, asking them to support this motion.

Today I held a press conference on my motion to freeze rent for 2027 and 2028 on rent-controlled homes across Ontario. People are struggling. Renters told us they are skipping meals, delaying medical care, and giving up savings just to keep up with rent. At a time of high unemployment and rising costs, people need stability and savings now. We will be debating the motion tonight at Queen’s Park, and it could go to a vote as early as tomorrow.
