Habari nzuri Woote? Mungu asifiwe (apoyo Rubanga, yebazibwe Katonda). Congratulations on the series of elections that we have been having ever since the 15th of January, 2026. These were: the Presidential, the Parliamentary, District Chairpersons, District Councillors, Sub-County Chairpersons and Sub-County Councillors. I, especially, congratulate our party, the NRM, for winning all those elections with big majorities. I also congratulate the other parties such as the DP, UPC, etc., that participated in the elections without using violence unlike the Party of NUP and some few elements of FDC, that were using violence. The parties under IPOD should clearly lay out agreed guidelines on the dos and don’ts of election management, according to the laws and the constitution of Uganda.

The Vice President, H.E. @jessica_alupo, is the chief guest as Uganda joins the rest of the world to commemorate International Women’s Day 2026 at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds under the theme: “Scaling up investment to accelerate access to justice for women and girls across Uganda.”

I thank Their Excellencies, the Heads of State of the East African Community, for entrusting me with the responsibility of serving as Chairperson of the EAC Summit for the next year. Africa must avoid what I call “Okukonesa” , the mis-cooking of the African Revolution. Historically, our weaknesses of disunity, poor leadership and failure to adopt science allowed the continent to be colonised. We achieved Uhuru (freedom). The next mission must be Umoja (unity). Prosperity comes from production and markets. Fragmented markets keep Africa poor. In Luganda we say: “Omuggo oguli ku mulirano tegugoba ngo.” The stick in the neighbour’s house cannot chase away the leopard. Africa must build its own internal market through integration. The East African Community and continental integration are therefore not optional. The mission remains: Uhuru na Umoja, Freedom and Unity.

Countrymen, Countrywomen and, especially the Bazzukulu, on Sunday 18th January, I formally received the declaration of my re-election as President of Uganda. I thank God, Maama Janet, the NRM members, our leaders, institutions, and all Ugandans who stood for peace and stability. In this new Kisanja, our priorities are clear: safeguard peace and security, eradicate household poverty, strengthen unity, enforce discipline in governance, and support wealth creators to grow our economy. Uganda will remain peaceful, stable and focused on progress. I thank you all and wish you a happy Liberation Day.

She visited exhibition tents set up by HIV stakeholders, including Igara West Women Entrepreneurs Group, Bushenyi Ankole Honey, Katunda Bahingi Bariisa Group, National Housing, UNASO, Judicial Service Commission, NAFOPHANU & Uganda AIDS Commission, Among others. #EndAIDS2030Ug

The multibillion expansion and rehabilitation of Katakwi General Hospital has today been launched by the people of #Katakwi and H.E. Amokrane Mourad Ambassador of Algeria to Uganda.

Also focusing on delivering bulk water to all areas in Karamoja. Currently they are investing in ICT / artificial intelligence initiatives to support the progress of Karamoja Peace and Technology University. 2/2.

The Israel-based investors, Mr. Zeev Shiff and Mr. Yaron Carmi, CEO of Impala Technologies Ltd, recently paid a courtesy visit to me at office. They are interested in investing at Karamoja Peace and Technology University (KAPATU). 1/2.

In Arua District and Arua City, there are a total of 120 government primary schools, with 50 in the district and 70 in the city. Additionally, Arua District has 7 government secondary schools, while Arua City has 9. For someone who has been here for a long time, seeing this progress makes me very happy. On health, our plan in the next government is to upgrade Orivu Health Centre III to a Health Centre IV in Ayivu Division East, and to upgrade Lazebu Health Centre II to a Health Centre III in Arivu Sub-county. On wealth, if you have no income in your home, you create problems not only for your family but also for the country. The government receives taxes from what people buy. When you have no money, you are not contributing to your family or your nation. I, therefore, urge everyone to be active in wealth creation and ask that you support NRM in order to continue the battle against poverty. Tomorrow, we continue in Maracha and Koboko Districts.

Pleased to meet #Uganda Vice President H.E. Jessica Alupo @jessica_alupo at margins of #UNGA80. We reaffirmed our strong bilateral interests and commitment to fight the spread of terror networks and ensure regional stability.

Congratulations to all the delegates at the NRM Delegates Conference for its success. I also want to express my gratitude for enduring sleepless nights to ensure that all party processes were conducted successfully. I am happy about our large membership, which stands at 20 million including teenagers. It is important that we do not let bad behaviors, such as bribery and other unethical practices, pollute our NRM.

I congratulate the newly elected NRM Vice Chairpersons and thank all the voters for their participation. For those candidates who may be feeling dissatisfied, it is easy to investigate any claims of irregularities. I thank you and wish you good luck.
