And that's that. I'm making a bigger deal out of this then it probably is, but it's a weird feeling to officially end the project that was essentially my reason for living for like 5 years. Feels good to move forward but it's still sad to say goodbye.

I wanted to start work on a new album and got like 6 tracks started. The passion was gone by then though. I’m not even coming from a jaded place. I’ve been in a great place mentally lately and just more comfortable being honest and expressing my opinions.

The nail in the coffin for me was honestly Power Glove’s release after EPII. Motorcycle Cop is such a fucking awesome, unique track blending 80s influence with modern production and then everything after that I felt was too reminiscent of every other cheesy 80s trope synthwave

I actually don’t like Synthwave anymore and feel like it cannibalized itself years ago. All of my favs expanded past that to either industrial or synth-pop. I feel like my music has never really fit in that synthwave box but it was the closest thing I could find to a scene

Feeling very incompetent writing lyrics. Which is nice. Gotta get out of that comfort zone
