Results from 2026 Topps Series 1 Celebration Boxes Case Rip Yesterday I stepped way outside of my comfort zone and filmed a full case rip. When the odds dropped, the data said this was probably the best retail format. So I put my money where my mouth is. Pre-ordered two cases. Not even sure I was gonna rip them. Really had intended to stash as I expect the price to jump somewhat once they're sold out. Then they showed up. At the time, there was exactly one Celebration Box rip on YouTube (shoutout @HoosierPulls). So I figured the world, or like 17 of you, deserved to see a full case opened and find out if the math checks out… …or if I’m just a well-documented buffoon. Here are the results from that case: Best cards in the case- 2 different Mascots Red Parallels /5 (Mr. Red & Wally the Green Monster). Considering those are 1:24,658 packs, I was pretty happy about it. Similar cards from last year actually go for a surprising amount. Also a Ronald Acuna Hidden Mascots Gold /50 (1:3,753 packs). I'm afraid the Hidden Mascots, especially the base, which are still SP with a print run of ~230 ea, may be tough to spot if you're not looking for them. I totally missed this one, even though it was a Gold /50. Of course, I noticed it was gold, but found it odd that it was /50 rather than /2026. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the fairly sizable Mascot in the photo. Autos- 0 (This was a bit surprising considering the odds state autos should fall 1 in every 20.85 boxes. So not every case, but very close to it.) Relics- 4 (Matt Shaw Blue /150, Kristian Campbell, Spencer Torkelson, and Freddie Freeman) Total Numbered Cards- 15 (as expected as I had numbered cards calculated at 1 per 1.3 boxes, or 15.4 per case) Total Parallels (numbered & unnumbered)- 237 (11.85/box) My initial estimate when I ran the numbers? 11.7/box. Figured I'd throw that in there. Total Inserts- 976 (48.8/box- I had estimated 44.6/box, which was, surprisingly, a bit low. Here's the itemized rundown: •Team Border- 2 •Walk This Way- 2 •Independence Day /76- 1 •Green Holofoil /99- 1 •Blue Holofoil /150- 1 •Yellow Holofoil /399- 2 •Pink Confetti (PR ~100)- 3 •Pink Holofoil (PR ~1,160)- 3 •Pink Inserts- 2 (1991: PR ~965, Profiles: PR ~960) •Opening Day Foil (PR ~650)- 19 •Gold /2026- 6 •Holofoil (PR ~8,430)- 27 •Rainbow Foil (PR ~11,420)- 28 •Confetti (PR ~5,180)- 138 Common Inserts: •All Topps Team- 7 •Big Ticket Players- 19 •First Pitch- 5 •Greatest Hits- 21 •Profiles- 15 •1991- 71 •8 Bit Ballers- 143 •Gameday Drip- 113 •Mascots- 166 •Perennial All Stars- 134 •Stars of MLB- 170 •Titans of the Game- 110 Verdict: I stand by my assertion that this is the best retail format for 2026 Topps Series 1. Keep in mind, that alone isn't saying that Celebration Megas are fantastic as the bar for 2026 S1 Retail is very low. For what it is, this is a good product. If you have children interested in the hobby, I can't think of a better product to rip with them. Loads of parallels & inserts, Mascots, a decent amount of color and numbered cards. Any card-collecting youngster should love it. And if they don't, at least Dad will have fun! I had a blast. Will it spike in price, like seemingly everything has lately...probably. With the current market, I wouldn't be surprised to see these on the secondary market at $100/box before too long. Would I recoup my entire spend if I sold the cards? Maybe. I suppose it depends on how deep you want to go. If you have a $1 box at shows and throw heaps of these in there, you'd possibly come out ahead eventually. If just the $5-$10 cards and up, it's definitely a negative ROI, but honestly not terrible. Just a small handful of the best pulls would probably net a ~$600 return, making the case less than half price. #thehobby #SlabSquatchAnalytics #2026ToppsSeries1CelebrationBoxes

Getting better @Topps. I only waited in queue 48 minutes this time before getting the dreaded message. No biggie, this was only the release I wanted in on most from this entire week. We got this though. Time to move on... I own the stuff... It doesn't own me. #SlabSquatchInnerPeace

Alright y’all… the Squatch is officially on YouTube. First ever live rip is up. 2026 Series 1 Celebration Box full case… first half live now, second half coming shortly. Fair warning… it’s rough. Camera work? Questionable. Production quality? Let’s call it “authentic.” Editing? Non-existent. If you’ve ever wondered what happens when the guy who stares at odds sheets too long actually opens the product… here you go. Also, because I think it's important- two things you’ll never hear from me: Smash that like button. Subscribe for more. Watch the Squatch. Or don't. We good either way. Go ahead. Fire it up and flame me accordingly. youtu.be/O3lTF2ct0Kg?si… #thehobby #SlabSquatchAnalytics #2026ToppsSeries1CelebrationBoxes

Hello everyone. This will be a long post about my experience at the One Piece World Championship: it will be divided into three parts—my tournament (even though there’s not much to say), my experience at the event, and my trip to Japan. I was asked to give feedback to Bandai about what I experienced, and I prefer to do it publicly rather than sending a form that will probably never be read. I’d also like to take this opportunity to congratulate the three winners—truly excellent players who have shown they deserved this result. 1) About the tournament itself, there’s not much to say.** I brought Ace, I was very well prepared, but I was extremely unlucky. I’m still very calm about it because, no matter how prepared you are, it’s still a card game where luck is necessary. I lost to two Mihawk decks. In the first game, I didn’t draw Red Roc or Round Table in 25 cards, and that card is essential for the matchup. I tried everything to recover, but it was impossible. Then I faced Red/Black Sabo, a terrible matchup, but my opponent practically bricked everything and I won. In the third game, where I faced the second Mihawk, I missed the first Garp, and the second only found a 6-cost Jozu. I completely missed my early curve and obviously couldn’t recover the game. It just wasn’t my day. I’m disappointed, but I played to the best of my ability, so I have no regrets—it will go better next time 😂. 2) My experience at the event, however, was terrible.** We were playing the World Championship of one of the top games at the moment, and it felt like playing a random local tournament in a bad store. Starting with the pre-tournament phase: unclear information throughout, with constant changes to the schedule. I find it absurd that we only learned the format three weeks before the event—especially a format that only Asian players had experience with, not Western players. Moreover, we took part in something called a “World Championship,” but it barely felt like one. There were 12 Japanese players, 10 other Asian players, and only 12 from the rest of the world. So it can easily be summarized as an Asian tournament with a few participants from the rest of the world. Then there was the option to bring a guest, which turned out to be completely useless. They couldn’t stay with us in the hotel unless they booked a separate room, or we as players had to give up our room to stay with them. They also couldn’t attend the event as spectators because it was closed and not open to the public. When we arrived at the event, we met at 8 AM in the hotel lobby, were taken to Bandai headquarters, and had to wait 30 minutes before entering. Then, due to slow management, the event only started at 10:30 AM. There was no food available inside, so we had to bring our own. Even worse, water wasn’t provided—we had to buy it from vending machines at the headquarters. Event management was terrible. None of the staff in charge had any idea how the game worked. The judges didn’t speak English, so communication worked like this: I talk to the interpreter, the interpreter talks to the judge, the judge responds to the interpreter, and then it comes back to me. We were told not to bring anything other than our deck. We were given official Bandai sleeves that became unplayable after five minutes due to sweat, causing the cards to stick together. As a playmat, we were given a paper one from starter decks (luckily I brought my own). The tournament was handled like a random local: as soon as you dropped, you had to leave the venue. I couldn’t even watch a friend in Top 8 because I was literally kicked out of the event. There was no stream for the event something outrageous in 2026. None of my friends or my community could follow the most important event of the year.
