University Jewish Chaplaincy supports Jewish Students in 12 regions at dozens of universities across the UK.
🔴 A lecturer invoking a medieval blood libel. 🔴 Jokes about the Holocaust. 🔴 Swastikas painted on the homes of Jewish students in Nottingham. 🔴 A housemate refusing to live with a friend after discovering they are Jewish. 🔴 A Jewish student in London pushed down a staircase for wearing a kippah. 🔴 Jewish students harassed by the Muslim chaplain at a Freshers’ Fair during an interfaith event.

After more than two years of witnessing the hostility and chaos on campus, our students have slipped into a "new normal" that simply shouldn't exist. From feeling unwelcome in lecture halls to facing hostile protests and the painful isolation of silent group chats, the pressure on Jewish students is immense. In response, University Jewish Chaplaincy have opened their doors wider and stayed open longer, providing a safe, understanding home away from home providing pastoral care, advocacy, meals and mental health support. The Chaplains presence on campus has never mattered more, University Jewish Chaplaincy simply can’t sustain this without support.
