For the 78th consecutive year, the Ponevezh tradition of having the Israeli flag flown on the Yeshiva’s roof on Yom Ha’atzmaut continues 🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱

@Jewish_Bookery The idiom of עול/yoke appears throughout the Talmud. A possible reconciliation (assuming one is needed) could be that one should treat it like a discipline in action w/o feeling emotionally like it's a burden.
English

School of R. Yishmael: The words of Torah should not be a burden, but you are not allowed to exempt yourself from them.

@TheSilencedMaj4 Right, so it’s Ḥ but we can’t be expected to type that every time. IMO H is better than Ch for two reasons. 1. Ch is for Charles, Chair, China. 2. Ch is not differentiating between ח and כ.
English

@Jewish_Bookery It’s guttural
Neither H or Ch are correct
English

This is great! A Lubavitch rabbi writes חודש with an H instead of Ch.

@CraftsmanBob I’m not from that camp but there’s a פירכא. Those that allow the haircut, allow it lechovid Shabbos RH. What does that have to do with listening to music on Fri?
English

@DavidAgam4 Shulchan Aruch discusses haircuts and weddings, I think it’s very difficult for anyone to say listening to music at home is assur. I heard my Rav says “if you can listen the rest of the year, you can listen now”.
