It is believed Roman soldiers and settlers brought Daffodil bulbs to Britain, often planting them in memory of comrades who had fallen in battle. Originating from the Iberian Peninsula (Spain & Portugal), we have our own native species, the Lent Lily, Narcissus pseudonarcissus
