Pat Summitt said, “Winning is fun... Sure. But winning is not the point. Wanting to win is the point. Not giving up is the point. Never letting up is the point. Never being satisfied with what you've done is the point." Character is what you do. It means choosing integrity, responsibility, and self-discipline even when it's hard. You demonstrate it through your actions, decisions, and how you treat people. You always know the people of character on a team because they bring so much. 5 Things That People With High Character Bring to a Team: 1. They Bring Consistency and Reliability - You know exactly what you can expect from them on a day-to-day basis. They consistently show up and diligently do their work. This trait is crucial as it builds trust within the team, ensuring that everyone can depend on each other. The benefit is a more cohesive and efficient team where members can rely on one another. 2. They Bring a Team-Focus - They prioritize the team, showing genuine care and support for others. This focus is important because it fosters a collaborative environment where everyone feels valued. The benefit is a stronger, more united team that can achieve greater results together. 3. They Bring Positive Energy and Attitude - They maintain a positive attitude, bringing energy and enthusiasm to the team. This trait is important because it influences the overall team spirit and can inspire others. The benefit is a more dynamic and resilient team, capable of overcoming challenges. 4. They Bring High Standards - They go above and beyond and exceed what's expected of them. This attitude is significant as it drives continuous improvement and sets a high standard for the team. The benefit is enhanced team performance and a culture of excellence. 5. They Bring an Attitude of Gratitude - They exhibit an attitude of gratitude, appreciating their teammates and opportunities. This mindset is crucial as it fosters a culture of appreciation and respect within the team. The benefit is a more harmonious and collaborative work environment, where members feel valued and respected.

The unconscious fear of success is a dangerous trap you likely don’t even realize you’re stuck in. You keep giving yourself permission to stay average by always making excuses and justifications that sabotage your progress. You know you’re meant for more and that you want to be exceptional, but to fulfill your potential requires you to leave your comfort zone. This process, by definition, is uncomfortable. It is unfamiliar. It is unknown. Without conscious direction, you will default to choosing a comfortable pain over an uncomfortable solution. And so your mind tries to fight you in subtle ways because it will always try to maintain what is familiar, even if it isn’t what is best for you or what you need to thrive. “I can’t invest in an education that will improve my future because it’s too expensive” “I can’t put myself and my work out there because I’m not ready yet / it isn’t good enough” “I’m not ready to start my business because I don’t have the skills / authority / expertise” All lies. All subtle ways to sabotage yourself, to keep you from going too far too fast, to keep you “safe” from the new responsibilities & unfamiliar problems that would come if you managed to achieve the success you tell yourself you want. If someone you love was in danger, and the only way to save them was to do the thing you keep avoiding, you would find a way. You would do everything in your power to make it happen, and you wouldn’t stop until you did. You would try everything you needed to try, in every way you needed to try it, until you got it to work. That’s the reality, that’s the truth. You ALWAYS have the power to move beyond your current threshold, to dispel the illusions of your self-inflicted limitations. You just have to embrace the uncomfortable solution, and let go of the comfortable problem you hold onto out of a warped sense of familiarity and safety. And you have to choose that every day. This is the skill, above all other skills, the successful excel at. That the people you admire and strive to be like embrace. That are ready and willing, at any moment, to be uncomfortable if that discomfort brings them even a single step closer to their dreams. If you can develop that same resolve, nothing will be capable of stopping you. You are a limitless creator, meant to expand into the expansive unknown and make it your domain - to turn it into your playground. That is what you were designed to do. Start living like it. And if you're ready to take your life into your hands, but feel like you could use some guidance… I created a free 12-part video masterclass revealing everything I know about how to… • thrive in the new golden age • fully realize your creative power + potential • bring yourself purpose driven success in the creator economy. Simply comment 🔥 below this post and I’ll DM you instant access. Much love and, as always, thank you for reading. - JCS
