Those that are clamoring "Eternal salvation", are you listening...

Think pieces are everywhere since Pastor Jerry Eze contracted KPMG to review the applications and select the best. If this act teaches you nothing, at least it teaches you how disciplined and structured the Church of God is. The excellence you see in how they conduct crusades and manage finances can only come from God through the Holy Spirit. The “Excellence” that Apostle Joshua Selman teaches — which many of you “woke Christians” have interpreted as mere motivational speaking is exactly what is required to win this grant. It is also very interesting how many of you have ignored the God-factor in people’s lives. Do you know that you can have the best application and still not be selected by KPMG? This is where the God factor comes in. If you truly know God for yourself, you would understand that the Scripture teaches us to “work and pray,” not just to pray. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 says, “For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: ‘The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.’” A true believer in Christ cannot be ignorant of this. Psalm 90:17 says, “May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands.” When a believer prays for favour, God answers by establishing the work of his hands. Your advantage as a believer in Christ is that in addition to work, you also pray. Any believer who cannot learn excellence, work ethics, and discipline from the Bible is not a true believer. You need to go back and study the Scriptures well so you don’t come here giving opinions on issues you know nothing about.

MTN and Airtel stopped “borrow airtime” services, even after a court said they should restore it. For many Nigerians, this is not just a small feature. It’s a backup in emergencies. No airtime can mean no calls, no help, no quick response when it matters. Now regulators have approved other companies to take over airtime and data lending. This is bigger than telecom. It’s about access to communication in critical moments. In Nigeria, even airtime can affect your safety and health.

I’m sure you’ve heard about Pastor Jerry Eze’s Foundation giving out $720,000 to 240 young entrepreneurs. God bless him for that. I love and respect the man. But here’s a lesson some churchgoers need to sit with. When it was time to select who got the money, Pastor Jerry, the same man who preaches miracles and unmerited favor, hired KPMG, one of the world’s top consulting firms, to go through the applications and find the most qualified candidates. The criteria did not include: Who speaks in tongues the longest. Who pays the highest tithes. Who bought the oil of prosperity last Sunday. Who fasted seven days for divine favor. Who shouts “fire” the loudest during deliverance. He hired KPMG. Not a prophet. Not an usher. Not his most loyal church member. A firm that evaluates business structure, financial records, turnover, industry viability, and legal registration. Dedicated tongue-talker with no business records? Nothing for you. Seed-sower who never structured a business? Nothing for you. Because when real money is on the line, even the pastor plays by business rules. This is not an attack on faith or those who are devoted to God. It is a call to start separating your devotion from your development. Your pastor is studying balance sheets while teaching you to sow seeds. Study what he does, not just what he says. Businesses do not grow through tongues. They grow through structure, discipline, and strategy. Separate your spirituality from your business principles. Both can coexist. But they are not the same tool.
