姚誠 的本名是譚春生(Tan Chunsheng)

♨️**Yao Cheng (姚诚) Return to China and Photo with Wolf Warrior Li Yi Completely Expose the Corruption of Overseas Democracy Movement and Serious Loopholes in US Asylum Policy**
The recent case of former CCP Navy Lieutenant Colonel Yao Cheng (谭春生) safely returning to China has shocked and angered many. After entering the United States in 2016 under the guise of "political defection," he was quickly embraced by the overseas Democracy Movement circle and became an active YouTube military commentator, frequently criticizing the CCP's military and its Taiwan strategy. However, around May 22, 2026, he suddenly posted a video confirming that he had returned to mainland China. He first went through Southeast Asia and then safely crossed the border from Yunnan. After returning, he publicly stated that he no longer had expectations for the United States, no longer viewed America as the "beacon of democracy," chose to "return to his roots," and even expressed positive views on certain aspects of China such as infrastructure and prices.
What is even more explosive is that after returning, he also took a photo with the well-known CCP Wolf Warrior Li Yi. This photo has been widely circulated online, showing the two standing close together, smiling. This image completely shatters the narrative of a so-called "defector." A person who claimed to carry sensitive CCP military information and had been active in the US for a full 10 years was able to return to China so easily and openly pose with a CCP Wolf Warrior. This is not simple "homesickness" or "disappointment" — it is a direct slap in the face to the overseas Democracy Movement's long-standing claims of having "review mechanisms" and "anti-CCP purity."
The overseas Democracy Movement has played an extremely irresponsible and corrupt role in this matter. They have extremely lax screening, almost non-existent mechanisms, and have even actively packaged and helped people with highly suspicious backgrounds quickly obtain US political asylum. They treat "anti-CCP" as a resource and a business, resulting in opportunists, double agents, and even potential CCP infiltrators easily entering the United States, enjoying protection paid for by American taxpayers, only to turn against America or return to China at critical moments. This directly threatens US national security.
### Yao Cheng's case is only the tip of the iceberg — similar abuses of asylum are numerous
Zhong Jinhua (钟锦化) is a classic example. Between 2014 and 2015, this former CCP judge and lawyer entered the US and obtained political asylum approval in just 43 days — an astonishingly fast process. He claimed to have been persecuted for human rights activities, but there are numerous inexplicable red flags: If he was truly severely persecuted by the CCP, how was his entire family able to leave China safely with valid passports and travel to the US as tourists? As a CCP party member and former judge, he presided over numerous criminal cases, with a reported death sentence rate as high as 30%, and over 150 people reportedly executed under his rulings. Yet such a person was able to quickly pass US asylum review with the help of Democracy Movement figures, relying solely on his one-sided story.
Even more suspicious is that after obtaining asylum, he remained active, participated in various overseas organizations, and was reportedly still holding a Chinese lawyer license as late as 2020 while engaging in bilateral China-US immigration consulting business and helping recruit high-level American talent. These subsequent actions completely fail to prove he was ever persecuted by the CCP and instead show extremely low loyalty to the United States. The multiple contradictions that even an ordinary person can easily see — how thorough was the US immigration background check? Or was it just a mere formality?
Another vivid example is YouTuber Stone (石光磊). According to reliable information, he is the son of a corrupt official in Tianjin. He first fled to Canada, then entered the United States. After joining the Democracy Movement, he pretended to actively support President Trump and used this image to quickly obtain asylum and a green card. Once he secured his status, he immediately cut ties with the Democracy Movement. After 2020, his attitude completely flipped: he began criticizing the US daily, praising the Communist Party, and fiercely attacking President Trump. His content clearly shifted toward CCP-style foreign propaganda, with extremely opportunistic and inconsistent positions. A person with such a suspicious family background was able to easily obtain US asylum protection precisely because of the packaging and strong support from the Democracy Movement, only to turn around and harm American interests.
Additionally, there are cases like Guan Heng (关恒) and other Xinjiang filming incidents. He applied for and received US political asylum after filming videos related to re-education camps in Xinjiang. However, many observers question the true motives and authenticity of such "evidence providers," suspecting they were systematically packaged by the Democracy Movement circle, and that there may even be fabricated elements in their stories, all aimed at quickly passing the US asylum system. These "Xinjiang witnesses" cases also highlight the Democracy Movement’s lax screening and eagerness to expand influence.
### The systemic corruption of the Democracy Movement has seriously endangered US national security
The above cases repeatedly prove that the overseas Democracy Movement has long suffered from severe screening failures and commercialization. In order to expand influence and obtain resources, they often help people with questionable backgrounds apply for US asylum without strict vetting, turning "anti-CCP" into a tradable label. This has directly allowed numerous risky individuals to enter the United States, gain access to Democracy Movement networks and American information, and potentially pass intelligence back to China or turn to anti-American propaganda after securing status.
The United States can no longer afford to be naive. The CCP excels at "mixing truth with lies" in its united front and infiltration tactics. We must remain highly vigilant and cannot open the doors simply based on an "anti-CCP" label.
This chaos is directly related to the lax asylum policies previously dominated by the Democrats. The Pelosi-era approach toward China appeared tough and supportive of "dissidents" on the surface, but in practice the review process was far too lenient and standards too low, allowing large numbers of people with unclear backgrounds to enter. Now that US-China competition has entered a new stage of intense intelligence warfare and infiltration warfare, the old policies are completely outdated and must undergo fundamental reform.
**I strongly call on the US government to immediately promote immigration law and asylum policy reform:**
- Conduct thorough, multi-layered, cross-departmental strict background investigations on all asylum applicants from China, including military and judicial backgrounds, family circumstances, overseas activity records, historical ties to the CCP, financial sources, and real evidence of persecution — never relying solely on personal statements or Democracy Movement recommendations.
- Establish a long-term joint review mechanism among USCIS, FBI, and DHS to regularly re-examine high-risk individuals who have already received asylum (especially those with military, judicial backgrounds, or who were active in the Democracy Movement).
- Asylum policy must strictly prioritize US national security and national interests above all else. Those who genuinely identify with American values, are willing to obey the law and contribute should be welcomed, but any individuals with potential risks must be firmly excluded.
The photo of Yao Cheng (姚诚) with Li Yi after his return, Zhong Jinhua’s (钟锦化) 43-day fast approval, Stone’s (石光磊) complete flip, the Guan Heng (关恒) Xinjiang case, and other incidents have provided more than enough catalysts for reform. It is time to thoroughly clean up the loopholes in the US asylum system and stop letting the corruption of the Democracy Movement become a channel that endangers American security.
Only by establishing a strong, rigorous, and vigilant review system can America truly protect its own interests and effectively help those who are truly deserving and can withstand strict scrutiny.
(Based on publicly available information and online discussions. The incident is still developing. Welcome rational discussion and more evidence.)
