Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar says she is not ruling out a further United States military presence in Trinidad and Tobago following her upcoming summit with US President Donald Trump on March 7. Responding to questions on the issue, Persad-Bissessar said, “Maybe, maybe not,” when asked whether additional US military personnel could be stationed in the country. However, the Prime Minister underscored that any foreign military personnel would have no authority over Trinidad and Tobago citizens.
