Have waited over 3.5 years for double hip transplant. Have yet to be informed when or where it is likely to take place. Not even making excuses now

@EwanGurr @AUOBNOW We know that Ewan and many of those marching under the AUOB banner know that. Unfortunately the leaders of the SNP and the columnists of The National are determined to sell out the Independence Movement to the EU. They support Dependence. It won’t happen.

@JimFairlie You’ll be reassured to note Jim that this was not an @AUOBNOW rally. I find it hard to conceive how anyone with even a minor awareness of EU machinations can believe they were marching for independence yesterday. This was a march for dependence.

Does Humza Yousaf know what “Independence in Europe” means? Do the thousands who marched under that banner with AUOB yesterday, have a clue? Do any of them have a clue what “The Four Freedoms” mean? I have asked that question many times and have yet to get an answer. I’ll wait

I remember you very well Irene. Pity you didn’t make the March but good to know you are still well. Met a lot of old friends and remembered others who are no longer with us. Nice to hear from you Irene. Keep in touch

@JimFairlie Good to see, and hear, you at Bannockburn today. Gutted I couldn't be there but caught it on indylive. The dream never dies. You may remember my former surname - Henderson. (Perth& E Perths)

@xanderescribe Thanks Xander. The death of Winnie so soon after death of George Leslie, hit me hard. I had known both, as friends and colleagues for many years. It got me thinking of the many friends and colleagues I have lost, some at a relatively young age.

Applause for Winnie Ewing at the AUOB rally in Stirling. Hardly a speaker took the stage that didnt pay tribute to the late great. Jim Fairlie, the former SNP depute leader who knew her for decades, paid particularly poignant tribute

Very, very sad to hear the news about Winnie Ewing. A woman who became an MSP, MP & MEP in her long & illustrious political career & someone who could win hearts & minds in pursuit of our noble cause - Scottish Independence🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. Thoughts with Annabelle, Fergus & all the family.

their entire political lives. The late Neil McCallum and I were Winnie’s guests at the EU Parliament and saw at first hand, not just her influence but the enormous personal regard she inspired. My deepest sympathies to Fergus and Annabelle

Scotland has lost another great icon of the Traditional SNP, with the death of Winnie Ewing. Coming hard on the heels of the death of George Leslie, Scotland has lost two of the great Nationalists of the modern era. They did much to further the cause of Scottish Independence

Yes they do, they are in favour of joining EU. That contradicts their claim to support Scottish Independence.

@JimFairlie Because they don't actually have a policy relative to Europe. They are operating in the sole domain of grievance - 'anyone but Engerland' etc.
