@Bball_CO Boys and Girls on different weekends all at the same place. Only Final 4 Games...all others, higher seed hosts.. Get a local TV affiliate to broadcast the game. DUs Magness Arena (not Hamilton) would be the best venue.

This time of year is so much fun and I like to reflect on how to make it a bigger and better experience for all. 1. Reassess how to use the coliseum Maybe just for championships 2.5a -4a great 8 should probably go back to homesites. I love it but the lack of crowds is pretty sad.

Big congrats to Sam, Andon and Lando! A few trailblazers of the @PLUTOBasketball program and one of the most successful teams we have had in the program. They set the standard, and will be successful in whatever they decide to do in life.

@hoopstracker There's always going to be a couple misfit toys...the commitees can't watch all the games/teams. The basketball junkies are the only ones who can disect these teams and we/they have no official credentials. They need a little tweak, but no matter what we will have complaints.

This is why the RPI is not good. Every year theres atleast one of the matchups and its on both boys and girls brackets.. And Maxpreps would match them up the same as well. They need to bring back the basketball committees.

@Dwilliams1515 the world is becoming "smaller" with technology and most of their players coming to the US are 20 vs 18. For kids who are not in the top 4%, games are simply more fun.

@Dwilliams1515 C'mon now...your old man, world is going to hell in a hand basket, doesn't ring the bell. The overall skill level of a majority of players has improved dramatically over the last 20 years. The "take" that the best kids are playing too many games and not training enough is lazy.

Watched a lot of HS games this season it is amazing how unskilled kids R nowadays.It’s not shocking that colleges R going after “foreign players”. They R more skilled than us period. They practice 5 days a week & play a couple games & we just play tons of games!#fact

@Dwilliams1515 The Best kids are playing a lot of games AND they are training a ton. The college game has never been better and the first year players are tremendous. Foreign players are getting better as the game has become more popular,

@TweetsbyCoachP My son’s high school has an athletic director that has a policy to cut a senior if he is not a starter. It’s so anti what high school sports should be.

If I could change ONE thing about high school athletics it would be for far more players and parents to enjoy the ride where they are and not focus on college so heavily. If that’s meant to be, it will be.

@ericb207 @CHSAA I agree with you... Having said that, the data got skewed since Chaparral lost by 15 to the 4th ranked team in the country...which is why the RV/Chap game is getting "ignored". Not right, but its Why.

@SethDavisHoops @eee123 Is Nick Saban and Tom Izzo in favor of the SCORE Act? If not, then have these guys try to make changes before the train leaves the station. It seems like it's the first step before the rules can be negotiated and before any improvements can be made.

@eee123 so when you say "decades long" you are saying it has nothing to do with transfers, players turning pro, NIL, pros now playing college basketball etc. You think maybe there are macro factors involve that are impacting other sports as well?

Just about every established DI school in the Midwest (and probably elsewhere) is in the middle of a decades long attendance decline. But other than that ...

@CoachGrant10 Not sure who is selling that dream, but you shouldn't have any legitimate arguments against your hot take. The Springs gets a D1 player...1 every 3 years, and a couple D2 players every other year. You're right, make it the best bball possible for the the other 97% playing.

New year, honest conversation. Colorado Springs basketball has to stop selling false dreams. Learn the history of the city and understand our demographic. We don’t produce shoe-circuit level kids every year and that’s okay. I’m open to have a rational conversation about it.
