He just got an extension a few short months ago & he's a top 10 paid coach. Yet he's taking interviews with other schools during the season & based on the teams lackluster offensive performances it's clearly a distraction that's hurt the team this year. So yeah, lack of loyalty & focus is definitely doing something wrong in my book.

New SDR that’s based on Eastern Time texted me last night at 9pm ET / 6pm PT that he was at a sales mixer and had two VP of Rev Ops in his sights at the event to book meetings with - and what would be useful hooks based on the companies they worked at? He and I texted back and forth and then he went to work. No one asked him to go to the mixer. No one asked him to book meetings there. No one asked him to text the founder for real time account strategy. Innovation outside the provided framework. A-level work.

I have now heard this story several times: - Company has a head of marketing - CEO is not happy with them - CEO brings in a new senior marketer to take over (via hiring or sometimes M&A) - But the CEO last-minute backpeddles and creates a situation where both marketers are still there - And both think they're in charge and/or think they're peers - And the CEO refuses to tell one they work for the other and/or just hides and says, "work it out" It's amazing. It's incredible. But it happens.
