@ecoevoenviro Thanks Tom, yes, planning stages atm for placement little further west to hopefully protect the marsh in "Blockhouse Bay". Still get natives bowl in there after a good breeze. 👍

An evening delivery of sand and gravel for a beneficial use of dredging's project in Essex.

Eroding marine sediments around the Mersea foreshore have revealed some very interesting finds - for example, this could possibly be a section of Roman rope.

The remains of East Mersea Fort are washing away rapidly now - built under the direction of Henry VIII in 1543. The ladder post array in foreground are possibly from a quay serving the fort?

4th season as saltmarsh after a few centuries dry. Spartina with some overwintering MA.
