ALL ! those tar patches put on 6 days ago have reappeared from under the tar & gravel smear applied 5 days ago. Shows how thin that coat of tricked up empty promises was. This is NOT fixing our roads. This is expensive, ineffective, dangerous, performative nonsense.

36 mm for the last 24 hrs, 2nd best rain for the year. Will set up pasture for spring, but not enough to fill dams for stock water. Hope everyone who wanted rain got useful falls. 😄☔️☔️

We have the same issues in central Australia with ground animals & wild dogs. Everywhere they are controlled shows higher numbers & greater diversity of ground dwelling birds, lizards & small mammals. Completely removing dogs from the landscape is not the solution but keeping their numbers in check is.

Police are investigating another case of sheep duffing in western Victoria. $12,000 worth of merino sheep were stolen last week from a property in Strathlea, where four men were seen herding the animals into an enclosed trailer. Investigators have released digitally generated images of three of the men, based on witness’ descriptions.

Just spent 10 days in #NewZealand after being a 🥝 in Auz for nearly 15 yrs What I learnt… 1) It rains a lot. Esp. West Coast 2)They can’t make #Coffee. Just stop overheating the milk and splitting it now. 3)NZ does more with less 💰

Damp early morning for loading the last of the export lambs, $7kg HSCW luckily. I’m now destocked except for a few killers. Will need a contact for January before I buy store lambs in. Too much risk and uncertainty otherwise !
