Update 10:25: Trains via Chelmsford are currently being disrupted because of overhead wire problems and damage to one of our trains in the Chelmsford area. The line from Chelmsford towards Witham is blocked. Network Rail response teams are on site, and our train engineers are also going to attend as one of our trains has been damaged from the incident. At present, we do not have any timescales for when we anticipate the line to re-open. Travelling from Norwich to London (approx journey time up to 3hs) 1. Travel on the Greater Anglia train to Stansted Airport and change there for Stansted Express services to London Liverpool Street 2. Travel on the East Midlands Railway train towards Liverpool Lime Street. Change at Ely for the first available service to Cambridge or Stansted Airport for services into London Liverpool Street Travelling from London to Norwich (approx journey time up to 3hs) 1. Travel on the xx:40 Stansted Express from London Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport, and change there for services to Norwich. 2. Travel on Greater Anglia trains to Cambridge and change there for the first available train to Ely. Change again at Ely for the first available train to Norwich. Travelling from Ipswich to London (approx journey time up to 3hs) 1. Travel on the xx:20 Ipswich to Cambridge service and change for Greater Anglia trains into London Liverpool Street. Travelling from London to Ipswich (approx journey time up to 3hs) 1. Travel on the xx:58 London Liverpool Street to Cambridge and change for services to Ipswich.

Currently on a London-Norwich train with around 300 others. Gone midnight and been stuck at Ipswich for three hours (line ahead is flooded). Elderly people, lone females and children on board; toilets unavailable; no water; zero updates forthcoming from the train operator (@greateranglia); no alternative transport offered. Our railways are a national disgrace.
