ALERT: Mountain lion filmed killing a family's 2 dogs in broad daylight after jumping over a fence and bringing them to its den not far from homes in Yucaipa, California. The Schultz family says they were on vacation in Northern California when they saw security footage of a mountain lion jumping over a fence on their property before mauling their dogs, Winter, a 90-pound husky and Summer, a 65-pound Anatolian shepherd. Roger Shultz says, “This mountain lion, who we have on video, even came back and took the shepherd out and carried her away … This was an unprovoked attack, and the dogs were targeted.” The mountain lion then dragged one of the dogs away. The dogs had tracking devices, which led them to a cave near a residential area. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife says, “The department recommends residents take preventative measures to protect their pets and livestock from predators.”
