Closed the gap as far as being a good overall head coach? Maybe a little bit. He's excellent at two things IMO: Building a great culture (very underrated) and recruiting (obviously important). But he needs to hire a top assistant who is an Xs and Os guru, because that is lacking.

There is a huge divide in the fan base. Some us follow every minute of every game and can understand the deficiencies and limitations. Others come in after football and are apathetic and want instant success. There are ways to achieve that in college hoops today, but you have to hit on your investments. That’s not happening at a high level. There could be more money and support and there could be better investment. Both are true. Regardless I’ll be a fan and supporter until I die.

You either want Ohio State fans to be invested in the BB program or not. The program is fighting and clawing for any attention from fans. Talking shit about when any fan decides to tune is not it. Put a better, more consistent product on the court FANS will tune in earlier.
