Can someone explain to me just WHY some wedding venues charge for things like chair hire??? £4.50 a chair or have your guests stand for the full day. Plus an extra £2.50 per chair if you'd like to cover it and pretend it's not just a simple chair underneath. Utter madness

I’ve got a conference in Las Vegas in just over a week. They just sent me the menu to check against my dietary requirements & I felt so bad sending back a list of questions bc some days they basically had fruit as all I could eat & some meals no options at all 😬

Calum is currently running a ‘top pie’ contest. He gets vegan mince pies from all the local shops & rates them, then narrowing it down to find a winner. We’re currently at semi final stage. I already know who’s gonna win. He does this every year. But he’s an idiot & forgets.

@StokesBakes @BritishBakeOff I mean my other issue is I wouldn't be willing to do the technicals as they aren't vegan, and I doubt they'd give me vegan alternatives. And I'm just not willing to compromise on that tbh.

@Jjfers @BritishBakeOff Same here. I was put off applying for years because it seemed to be less about the actual baking every year. Applied for a bakery instead and now get to bake daily - no cake decorating or engineering in sight

Really hope @BritishBakeOff goes back to basics next year. I want to see how well the contestants bake something not how nicely they can decorate when given an impossible amount of time. Showcase their skill and passion rather than setting them up for mediocrity or failure.

Playing rugby with tonsillitis was not fun. But I didn't spew during the match (only before & after) and managed to hold up a try. So it wasn't all that bad. Gonna have a fucking shinner of a bruise on my cheek tomorrow though from a headbutt!

So proud of my wife ♥️. She now wants to be called Kay and uses them pronouns stronger. Still is very fine with she, but them is preferred in addition.
