I like the idea of the Eagles hiring Sean Mannion as offensive coordinator far more than either Josh Grizzard or Jim Bob Cooter. While Mannion doesn’t have the play-calling experience that either of the other two possess, his ceiling feels much higher. Pairing Mannion with a coach that he has previously worked with in a run game coordinator, pass game coordinator or some type of other role would possibly help too. Former Raiders quarterbacks coach and interim offensive coordinator Greg Olson has a ton of coaching experience and coached Mannion on two different teams.

It seems like Sean Mannion and Jim Bob Cooter have made it to the next stage in Philadelphia’s search for an offensive coordinator.
