Teaching is not just a job. It is a human service and it must be thought of as a mission. ✨

@DingleTeach You could have every one transfer ownership to you then move to a shared drive which makes it clean. Your tech person might have google “super powers” and can also help with the transfer. That’s how we did it- I basically owned all folders and files and he dragged them over.

@DingleTeach Do you own the docs you are wanting to move? Or are they docs with multiple owners? Or are they already in a shared drive and you want to move to a new one? It can be done, but logistics depend on what you are starting with

@DrKChilds According to Fisher and Frey, Better Learning through Structured Teaching- a framework for GRR “focused instruction does not have to come at the beginning of the lesson…”(p.5) Focused = I do. I’m not a huge DI fan, but GRR does have its place. It’s just another tool.

Here are 5 things that are wrong with the gradual release of responsibility model (I Do, You Do, We Do) when used during mathematics instruction... What are your thoughts? #mtbos #math

@natabasso If you assign it, you do have an obligation to assess it… even informally. It may not need to go in the grade book, but students need to know that you value the work they do and that you are using it to improve your teaching as well as their learning.

When someone says, "If I don't grade it, students won't do it." Agree with them. It's disarming. Then ask, "But were they doing it for the right reasons anyways?" The goal is to get more students engaged in authentic learning, not just task completion.

When I say “Build relationships” with your students, I’m saying “Just be a decent human-being to kids.” It’s not an add-on or something more to do. It’s treating kids like they’re human.

If Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a framework that aims to provide ALL STUDENTS with EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES to learn by creating flexible and inclusive learning environments, then why doesn’t every school adopt this? #UDL
