@corkcitycouncil Has anybody else noticed this show-off speed cyclist with his clever camera virtually knocking walkers out of the way? When will you learn to make these supposedly peaceful and 'safe' greenways safe for pedestrians, @corkcitycouncil ? Make bells a rule, at least.
🚴♀️If you want to get out in the fresh air and get active, check out Cork's newest amenity, the Grange Road to Tramore Valley Park pedestrian & cycleway!
➡️1.5km long, 4m wide, accessible to all ages and abilities, it safely links Grange to the city via Tramore Valley Park.
@ivanobp@PublishingIRL@OBrienPress It's going to be strange for you there certainly, Ivan, but you are carrying forward a proud flag. Show them what a great legacy Michael created for those who continue his work.
All set for a week in the Messe. It will be very different without Michael, but he’s taking a good look at the stand! 6.2A122. #FBM2022@PublishingIRL@OBrienPress
@corkbeo Reminds me of my father doing the same thing with his canoe in the early Sixties. In one case, the elderly lady gave him her door key, he opened the door, and canoed her to the staircase so she wouldn't get wet.
@RichardTMills@MetEireann Oh well caught, Richard! Even the gods (and Arwen Evenstar) agree that the title for our very first book back in 2010 (now in its second edition) was entirely accurate: West Cork, A Place Apart! We did describe this region as somewhere Tolkien must have known.
@RandomCorkStuff Amazing choice of location. History repeating itself. This is the actual site where Massey's bookshop stood for generations. Mentioned in Patricia Lynch's autobiography. Must have closed in the late 40s, early 50s. My father said it was a wonderful place, full of treasures.
Due to the most recent government restrictions announced in relation to Level 3, we must now close our cafè for inside dining from tomorrow. We will now open for takeaway only on Friday,Saturday and Sunday this week. Ní neart go chur le chéile
What a time for our new book, revealing the age-old secrets of the Brehon laws, to come out! No bookshops open, you'll just have to buy it online from O'Brien Press or Amazon to find out the surprising reasons a woman could give for divorcing her husband!
