@bbctennis we were very excited to watch the @andy_murray and Dan Evans match from a restaurant in Sicily. 4-3 into the tie break and an advert for swimming came on!!! 😱 Have a word will you?!!

@Martina Both this image and the video posted further down the thread just look so fake though. Seems more like some nut job out there creating emotive content to enrage people further.

@JeremyClarkson Well done @JeremyClarkson my only attempt at cider resulted in exploding bottles. My ceiling didn’t look great but the dregs that were left in the bottom were absolutely delicious!

Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck. There’s been a massive cock up and as a result, there’s a very slim chance, some of our Hawkstone CIDER bottles might, there’s no easy way of saying this, explode. If the cap has the code L3160, open it underwater, pour it away and get in touch for a refund. Info@Hawkstone.co Really sorry about this but on the upside, the beer is fine and still delicious. As is the cider, in bottles that are unaffected. Which is almost all of them.

As a minimum you need to let the driver know so that the doors can be opened until we get moving again

Dear @EastMidRailway having endured a 3 hour journey on an extremely overcrowded train from London, we’re now at a standstill in Belpher and the air conditioning has broken. If you don’t get it moving people will be passing out!

@martharoberts Should have been careful what I wished for, 10 mins of torrential rain and we’re now underwater!

Been here 11 years now. The seasons and weather has changed. Shoulder seasons almost vanished. Long, interminable wet winters handbrake into long, hot, dry summers. We’ve gone from quagmire to dust in almost 4 weeks of no rain 😕

@Ragcha @Greenisamissio1 "How many decades or centuries will it take for the tree to absorb the carbon dioxide that was emitted making the balcony and the planter that is holding [it]?" Alter said. "I didn't think it would ever make sense."

@Ragcha @Greenisamissio1 Good article Chris, unfortunately these things are rarely as straight forward as they appear. “But all of that splendour comes at a cost. Carrying the weight of growing trees required enormous amounts of concrete, one of the most carbon-intensive building materials available.

Night thoughts: Actually an interesting idea. The world First vertical forest in Milan Italy 🇮🇹 The towers were designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti and completed in 2014. They are now home to over 900 trees and 5,000 shrubs, making them the world’s first vertical forests.💚🌳🌲

@EG_Cunningham @Kate_Bradbury When I visited last, it was 3 years ago in the May, so I guess I’m between the 2 times I’d previously been. But the only sign of life were barnacles

@EG_Cunningham @Kate_Bradbury It was yes, we visited for a week, twice a year between 1978 and 1985, a week at Easter and again in the summer, and can’t ever remember the rock pools being empty 😞

Climate change causes extinctions. This Silent Spring so many are reporting is likely the fall out from last summer’s drought and the changeable, wet winter, on top of existing threats from pesticides and habitat loss. I’m hoping many species are just late, but it’s SO quiet (1)
