Languages aren't inherently difficult. They're new ways of engaging with the world. Whether you're travelling, relating to other people or training your brain, languages benefit us all. You don't need to be a linguist. Plus, learning a language gives you an edge across the board.

20+ yrs ago, local schools worked creatively to offer a wider curriculum and I 'crashed' Higher Spanish, building my lang repertoire. Now, after 10 days in Panama, reflecting on how knowledge of another lang and people opens doors, fosters understanding and connects us #lovelangs
