We were advised to keep costs as near to £150 as possible, given party size and location this was impossible. There was a major event on the island and there proved to be no availability. After long discussion with CalMac ferry company we negotiated 2 final car spaces to leave

The customer service experienced was extremely poor with advice that nothing could be done other than reimburse us for 1 nights accommodation in a local hotel, which he had to look for ourselves. We were a party of 5 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs

@cottagescom very poor experience today arrived on Isle of Arran to find our cottage double booked. Customer service response not helpful, advised book hotel for 1 night but no space on this small island. 3 very disappointed children and 5 adults now travelling home
