@OffTheLineBlog @villa_pogue @TORQUAYTALK Indeed, and helps they have the money to go out and bring in Paul McCallum when they do get injuries.
No point worrying about whether sacking PW was right now: hopefully a new manager can pick the players up and spends the budget more wisely next year.
English

@villa_pogue @JobEstill @TORQUAYTALK Well said, John.
Timing is everything as you say.
I suppose it helps Dorking / Chelmsford / Worthing had their "tricky spell" earlier.
English

We are in free fall. Desperately need a new manager in place ASAP because this is only going one way. #tufc
English

@OffTheLineBlog @TORQUAYTALK Not much use having a squad that can get you 1st in Jan but can't stay there!
Of course, more signings would have helped, but I assume the money just wasn't there.
Ultimately, PW knew the budget at the start of the season and spent it on a squad which is too thin
English

@JobEstill @TORQUAYTALK Got us into 1st.
You always take that gamble - granted - but you need to take that risk sometimes.
I feel a few signing when we went top may have been an advantage. Prevention better than cure, I suppose. May have eased injury burden.
That's just my view.
English

@OffTheLineBlog @TORQUAYTALK As far as I remember, PW said he made a deliberate choice to spend the budget on fewer, but supposedly higher quality players. Might explain the lack of a squad now...
English

@TORQUAYTALK The same squad TT have maintained should be walking this league?
By the same carrot, PW "built" the squad that took us to top of the league weeks ago.
We should have strengthened when we went top of the league. We didn't.
A sad day.
English

@JobEstill @TORQUAYTALK Would Dorking fans ask a manager if they are in a title race when sitting in a good position?
English

It’s farewell to PW. It looked like he could be the man to get us back up, but it wasn’t to be. What’s your thoughts yellow army? #tufc

@TUSTCOYY I fear there is a problem with this survey because it does not serve students. I do as much as I can to support TUFC and TUST. I’m concerned that my inability to raise my contributions leaves my investments and membership (which I value highly) vulnerable to the TUST’s decisions

@Torquayhopper12 @TORQUAYTALK The expectations of fans seem to outweigh those of the Consortium. In reality, I think Wotton has been dealt a worse financial hand than Owers or Johnson. The fact that Bryn want the best for our club does not mean that Wotton has a budget to outperform Dorking or even Eastbourne
English

@Torquayhopper12 @TORQUAYTALK Very understandable. Perhaps worth considering how insistent the Bryn Consortium are that the budget isn’t high for this league. Naturally we should be doing better, especially given some of the players available, but I think Wotton has been dealt a bad hand by the budget (1/2)
English

The discussion over Paul Wotton will no doubt receive a passionate reaction from the Yellow Army.
What are your thoughts on Paul and the current direction of our season after another disappointing performance? #TUFC

English

@Torquayhopper12 @TORQUAYTALK Agreed the results are not good enough and his position should be under consideration, but that last sentence is completely ridiculous given some of what has come before him in the last decade alone
English

@TORQUAYTALK Wrong man right from the start. Should never have been given this season after costing us promotion last season. Should have done after Chesham away
Never seen a Torquay manger suck out the enjoyment of supporting the club in the way he has
English

@ANorthantsfan Not saying he's gonna be a guaranteed success but he's a very useful all-rounder for this year's Blast with the WC increasing unavailability. He's improved a lot recently and is powerful leg-side with a bowling action similar to Narine. 5th in the T20 allrounder rankings too...

English

@ANorthantsfan good signing I'd say - probs one of the best T20 players not involved in the world cup
English

@RachelVillavox Thank you! Hopefully there won't be many more performances as bad as Monday's to write about...🟡🔵
English

@BarclayCard18 You seem to imply that without the antics NK 'is an average Joe with a big serve and forehand'; he is more than that. I too find a lot of his actions uncomfortable but when he's on it he is both an exceptional tennis player and an exciting watch.
English

At no point in the initial tweet do I imply Nick Kyrgios is a bad tennis player because that would be fucking stupid and wrong. But if he was just some other average joe with a big serve and forehand, none of the casual fans who find him entertaining would find him entertaining.
eI jef3@ElJefe3404
@BarclayCard18 Sorry his matches are rarely about tennis yet beats the 4th seed trying his ass off 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
English

@TORQUAYTALK Thank goodness it's only Dover then (I know I'm going to regret saying that!!)
