We were just 11 days away from our wedding when the call came. “Your fiancée had an accident.” At first, I didn’t understand what that meant. Not really. I just kept asking, “Is she okay?” Then came the sentence that changed everything. “She survived… but she may not walk again.” I remember sitting down without realizing I had moved. Because in one moment, the future we planned didn’t disappear… it split into before and after. When I got to the hospital, she smiled at me. That smile should’ve comforted me. Instead, it shook me. Because she didn’t know the full truth yet. Or maybe she did… and was waiting for me to carry it. Later, the doctor confirmed it, permanent spinal injury. And suddenly, everyone had an opinion. “End it now.” “You’re still young.” “This isn’t what you signed up for.” Even people I trusted said it gently… like they were saving me. And I’ll be honest... I understood their logic. Because I didn’t plan for this life. I didn’t imagine wheelchairs instead of wedding walks. I didn’t imagine becoming a caregiver before becoming a husband. That night, I went back to see her alone. She looked smaller somehow. Quieter. Like she was already preparing to be left behind. Then she said something I didn’t expect. “You don’t have to do this.” And that was the moment everything stopped. Because she was giving me an escape… while she was the one who couldn’t walk away. I sat there for a long time. Then I asked myself something I couldn’t ignore: Did I fall in love with her ability to walk… or with her? When I held her hand, I finally answered. “I didn’t fall in love with a version of you. I fell in love with you.” She broke down. So did I. Because that choice wasn’t easy. It meant a life I never rehearsed. Hard days. Heavier responsibilities. A future no one would applaud. But love isn’t always what you plan for. Sometimes it’s what you choose when everything you planned breaks. And on our wedding day, she didn’t walk to me. She was wheeled. But I remember thinking.. nothing in my life had ever felt more like “right” than that moment.

Parents - this is the way to do it if your child is smart in school. AP credits are not always accepted and the student has to score a certain level on the exam. Dual enrollment courses are almost always universally accepted and will save you so much money in college tuition.
Financial Dystopia@financedystop

He argues against putting kids in AP classes and says dual enrollment makes more sense. His daughter is already a junior in college right after graduating high school

Fernando is a wonderful example of the beauty & simplicity of a life lived with God at its core. Prayer, far from being wild or extraordinary, is a most reasonable act for a person who seeks clarity and focus. God wants to be all in all. Prayer opens the door.
Dov Kleiman@NFL_DovKleiman

Wild: Indiana superstar QB Fernando Mendoza was asked about his favorite pregame hype song. "I honestly don't listen to hype songs because I have to stay cool, calm, and collected. I actually meditate and pray before the game. I think praying, in a way, is meditation to help myself be in my thoughts, as Quarterback is a cerebral position." This kid is going to be special 😭😭

My father-in-law has begun buying MSU Beef for holiday meals lately. It's raised and processed entirely in Michigan through a partnership with MSU's Department of Animal Science - and it's delicious.

The BIGGEST dynasty in ALL of College Football resides in Big Rapids, Michigan. Ferris State just capped off a 16-0 season with their 4th national championship in 5 years. No matter what level of football, 4 natties in 5 years is INSANE. 🐶

When I was a student (just yesterday) I remember my classmates exhibiting the champion truck load at the National Barrow Show - the same year the beef barn brought home banners from Louisville with the Herefords

@marciac95_ Probably too late for a don’t? I hated it, lost money and had my houses trashed. Like Jill said, charge enough, get a security deposit, use a vetting service and don’t rent to anyone you know.
