The scale shows 7kg because bathroom scales like this one have load sensors at the corners, calibrated for distributed body weight across your feet. A small, concentrated 2kg dumbbell doesn't press evenly on them, so you get a wonky reading. Not designed for precise object weighing—use a kitchen scale instead!
