Genuine question, why are people mad about this? I’m really not even trying to be dismissive or sarcastic here. Why in the world would anyone be mad about this?

I think we mostly agree! My “100% revenue” point wasn’t about taking from creators, it’s about content YouTube produces themselves. If AI lets them create content they know will satisfy users, that’s revenue they don’t have to share. Creators still thrive, this just adds another lever for them.

The AI stuff had its place but your claim was they will position to keep 100% of revenue unless I was reading that wrong. AI for YouTube in the case of this studio is exactly like what they did 15 Years Ago with the 100 channel initiative where they gave 100 channels $1M to produce TV quality content… The problem is almost NONE of those channels lasted a decade or became self sustaining and couldn’t maintain their overhead. The AI stuff they are doing is a version of that, but actually commercially viable with better margins on a market that is otherwise weak on monetization. It’s a smart move and not an existential threat. I agree that both AI and Creators can coexist. But as long as humans value human experiences Creators will be the priority. Previously the fear is YouTube would betray Creators for Hollywood studios and just become Netflix. That didn’t happen. Google and YouTube often don’t get their fair share of Credit for the way they have lead and how they go out of their way to prioritize creators while navigating market realities. They were unprofitable for 10 years, and while I get people being nostalgic for 2005-2015… 2015-2025 has largely been great for the creators of that era too and for the community as well. My prediction is the next 10 years will be some of the BEST for all parties involved. 😊🙏🏾🙏🏾

YouTube History fact… YouTube once invested in 100x channels for $1M each to help them produce higher quality content and go all in… The only ones that returned on that investment were SciShow, Crash Course, Philip DeFranco and SourceFed… And currently very few of those 100 channels aside from the ones I just mentioned are still active and thriving today despite a small loan of $1M… YouTube and Google investing in these kinds of initiatives is fairly normal for them. Beyond that you’d be surprised at the number of YouTube channels funded by government grants.

Google has invested $1 MILLION into an AI animation studio to produce kids content for YouTube. Just one month after the platform’s CEO announced a crackdown on “AI slop.”

I don’t think this comes from cynicism, it’s more about recognizing how corporations tend to operate over the long term. In my experience, YouTube has been great for creators! Its my favorite platform and I am a dire hard Youtube appreciator. My entire life is Youtube and live the life I live thanks to Youtube! That said, they don’t need to replace creators for this trend to be directionally true. If AI enables them to produce or supplement content at scale with strong engagement, even partially, that naturally shifts leverage toward the platform over time, which benefits their bottom line. Creators can still thrive, just like they always have, but that doesn’t mean the platform isn’t also exploring ways to increase control, margins, and efficiency at the same time. Both realities can exist together. I don’t see this as the death of creators, more as an evolution into new formats and strategies, similar to what we’re already seeing with AI tools and initiatives like their AI studio.

It’s literally NOT (I actually am privy to the long term plan). I don’t know why everyone is so cynical about this and YouTube has literally NEVER done anything to warrant that assertion. What are all of you going to do every year that goes by without this coming to pass? People said the same thing about YouTube Originals. They said the same thing when the partner program changed and claimed that the requirement would get moved to 10,000 subscribers? How many time do people need to be wrong about the death of content creators thriving before this cynicism stops?

You’ll never see the steam chart drones acknowledge this: (for the record I love both games, but if numbers are numbers and tell the whole story, why isn’t this ever part of the conversation? Marathon is routinely a top game on the “twitch charts.” Just saying.)

How in the WORLD can you be stupid enough to mix these two up? "bro you're PEANUT" is not an argument...I have a COMPLETELY different TEXTURE, and VOICE and have a literal MUSTACHE and act NOTHING like this other guy. You really have to be some kind of retard to mix us up.

We built 40 multiplayer games, generating $1M in revenue and 30 million YouTube views in 12 months. Today, we're opening up our tools. The world's first programming language built for multiplayer game development: With CSL, you no longer consider the client/server boundary, replicating game state, or client-side prediction. Instead, you write your game as though it were single player: 1. The client and the server both run the same code every frame. 2. The server is authoritative and replicates diffs of its memory over the network to clients to correct for divergence. If you're a game developer, this is a dream come true. You get smooth client-side prediction, server authority, with no extra code. Plus, you can hot-reload and rewind while playing. If you're a vibecoder this removes context overhead when working in multiplayer codebases. In Luau/C# codebases, we found the majority of the bugs models introduced were because of misunderstandings in where code was being executed and how state should be synced as games became more complex. Codex and Claude Code with the CSL skill can one-shot complex multiplayer games that can be shipped to the world with a single click. The All Out Editor: Our editor will feel familiar to developers with Roblox or Unity experience, but includes features designed to dramatically accelerate world creation: - 250,000 high-quality human-authored assets. Generate your own or remix existing ones in seconds. - Built-in tile editor, terrain painting, and map prefabs. - An epic MCP for world building, scripting, and testing. The All Out Platform and Community: We've built a community of hundreds of thousands of players with 30,000+ playing each day and our first third-party game developer selling $6,000 of game passes in one month. We handle servers, matchmaking, data persistence, and social, and you can monetize with in-game products and revenue sharing. The team is cracked and we're shipping daily. If you'd like early access to the dev platform, send me a DM with your All Out username.
