There are currently 10 cards banned in paper Standard. Four of them are red. Two of them are blue. One is both. Izzet makes up 70% of the ban list and 100% of these trophies.

As much as I don't put any money making scheme past Wizards, there's no way they'd do Premodern Horizons because it wouldn't actually make them much money because the community would reject it. Premodern Masters would be great though, and at this point it's badly needed.

if you think a premodern horizons set is remotely possible then I am afraid you do not actually know what the premodern format is or what wotc’s incentives are

@MoxlessGuy @theKampo It isn't stock to have 2 Gaeas Blessing in Aluren, main or sideboard. So it makes sense to not concede. Maybe you did, but I wouldn't want to get Mike Long'd either. If it were stock to have 2 then sure, 100%. Id just concede so I could move on with my life.

@theKampo 'I can interact with the other aluren [...]' how? With 2 Blessing i can keep cycling cards in my graveyard and not deck. If you want to make your opponent lose on time, say it. We are on mtgo and ill accept it. But trying to hide it looks pathetic.

Would you concede to the hipothetical Gaeas Blessing? "infinite" life, no relevant board, 4x alurens in gy and has less cards left in deck. Tries to argue that EVENTUALLY he 'll draw Gaeas blessing to shuffle back alurens and win. I had no confirmation Blessing was in deck

Premodern is not a perfect format. If you're going into it competitively, you're either Autistic or gullible; especially if you've invested thousands on real cards. The format is much better as a "Battlebox" format for a few friends, similar to Old School or Old Standard.

If it's a barrier, I gave other examples of decks that cost less, ranging from 50-350. Why chime in if you're just proxying anyways? It doesn't exactly allow your argument to carry weight.

Premodern's supposed to be about playing cool old cards, not flexing wallets. That's why I just use MTGreplica.com for it—lets me build any deck I want without worrying about the price tag.

back when i was still on Hinge, probably 9/10 responses to my prompt mentioning mtg was a variant of "which commanders do you play?" (because the median person isn't really aware that other formats exist)

@ZawaTweets @Roaringliger1 @ThaDabCrab @caro_irl Gold boardered cards are not considered proxies. If you're the type of person that only enjoys playing specific colors, then you are definitely limiting your experience of the game. I can understand favoring archetypes, but not specific colors.

Tog is roughly 250. BW Control is 50-100. UG Madness is 50. UWR Solution is 150-200. Moneyball Black is 200 GB Rock 100-200
