This is because in 2013 the *definition* of autism was expanded to include Asperger's, CDD, PDD-NOS, and the Autistic Disorder. Numbers went up because the definition changed to include more variants. And testing and awareness of Autism just got better over time. This is insane.

This is so unusual. That's a *huge* amount of energy being transferred to the atmosphere. Expect extreme temperature and storm records. Just the top few metres of our oceans store as much energy as the entirety of our atmosphere. I'm very concerned for later this year into 2024.

Here’s a stat for you. There are only an estimated 175 singers in employed salaried jobs in the U.K. Around 50 of those jobs are currently at risk at @BBCSingers and @E_N_O alone. Apparently isolated decisions that could have enormous repercussions for a profession.

Went to @E_N_O last night. Full house. Reasonably priced (by West End standards). Didn't know ENO gives out 10s of thousands of free seats to under 21s. It one of the most accessible (& non-eletist) opera companies on the planet. And it has just lost ALL of its funding.
