It was a pleasure to meet with you and some of the amazing students at @accesssportcoll
Norfolk County FA@NorfolkCountyFA

At the end of April, Emma Dix from the @JoeDixFdn visited @theFDCNorfolk to give a presentation to students at @accesssportcoll about the dangers of Child Criminal Exploitation, knife crime and gang culture. The Joe Dix Foundation was set up in Joe’s memory after he was tragically stabbed to death in Norwich. The Foundation’s goal is to raise awareness of child criminal exploitation and knife crime to prevent any family from enduring the heartbreak that Joe’s family has faced. As part of Emma’s visit, a catastrophic bleed kit is now located at The FDC. The specialised trauma kit is designed to provide bystanders with the products they need to stop life threatening bleeding until paramedics arrive. but even better to hear how our views have been taken onboard. This meeting was followed by a separate meeting with the child exploitation team. Thank you for listening to Joes story and our experiences, we hope that some positive things can come from it 💙

8 months ago we were invited to joint the Governments anti knifecrime coalition. There have been many meetings since then. Today the whole coalition got together again for a general update. Great to see the returning faces and a few new ones

Tonight we were at the support hub at Norwich City FC, spreading awareness around CCE, gangs, knife crime etc. People in general were really receptive, keeping our children safe and our communities better places to live in has to be paramount!
