We all know, as do you, that the Westminster system, albeit true in writing, is absolutely NOT how 99% of Canada votes. And even based on how our parliament is reported, standing on your soapbox and spouting that system, holds no water. It’s VERY clear that Canada has morphed into a party first voting strategy and regardless of the person in the seat. They get voted in based on party colors. It is extremely rare that a candidate would be voted in on character or metal alone. The rare, and I mean very rare event that there is a relationship with constituents or a potential crazy person trying to join the club, are the only moments you’d see otherwise. The Westminster system was one designed back when there was less onus on party and more on the actual candidate. Today, the candidate can be the equivalent of a mannequin and still get in based on party. Canadians feel betrayed, and rightly so.

In the Westminster parliamentary system, Members of Parliament (MPs) are constitutionally independent representatives. They may choose to affiliate with a political party, but their seat belongs to them personally, not to the party. In principle, MPs are free to vote according to their own judgment, their conscience, or the interests of their constituents.

I'm much more interested in asking why so many Conservatives Party MPs are crossing the floor than I am the fact that the Liberals managed to poach them.

Let’s break it down: LGB- this is simply an acronym about sexual orientation. In this group: Lesbian- women who like women Gay- men who like men Bisexual- men or women who like both Simple, easy, and clear. Then we added the T. The T is not a sexual orientation. It has nothing to do with sexual attraction, it is a group of people who believe their minds do not match their body parts. QQ- Anyone really know what this is? Queer, and Questioning. Ok cool. I? Missing or murdered women is sad, but how in the world does this make any sense to add to an acronym that was supposed to be about sexual orientation? If the ultimate goal it to add every group you deem to be marginalized, it would probably be easier to go with “Non SWM” SWM- Straight, White, Male I truly believe the gay community has suffered most by their movement being totally hijacked and distorted into pure chaos.

Mark Carney is seizing a costly Liberal majority that voters denied him, and doing so through backroom deals. In January, MP Gladu said that floor crossers should face voters in a byelection to give voters the final say. I could not agree more. She should do so. The people in her community voted for our Conservative vision of a Canada that is affordable, safe, and strong at home, not for the costly Liberal government she has now joined. She should honour her word and let voters decide.
