The Chicago White Sox have had a really good offseason. Munetaka Murakami fell into their laps. Seranthony Domínguez is a proven late-inning reliever. Anthony Kay, Sean Newcomb, getting Luisangel Acuña in the Luis Robert trade. Not contenders yet, but it's the right direction.

I’ve tried to calm down and find a way to justify this trade. I can’t. Even if you assume they will take Robert’s money and reinvest it into the roster (which isn’t a guarantee), their payroll was like $85 million BEFORE THIS TRADE. You shouldn’t have to trade your centerfielder and only MLB caliber outfielder to pay for other players when the payroll is already that low! Combine that with the fact that they didn’t get anything of value for him, and yeah… I’m not happy about this at all. I would have rather just kept him than salary dump him for this return.

GM Chris Getz has remained non-committal on the plan regarding utilization of Kyle Teel and Edgar Quero. Strikes me the team have 5 options: 1. Keep both as catchers 2. Defensively repurpose Teel 3. Defensively repurpose Quero 4. Trade Teel 5. Trade Quero What would you do?
