Disbarred advocate Malesela Teffo has been appointed head of intelligence by FOSA. The Forum for South Africa (FOSA) has announced the appointment of disbarred Advocate Malesela Teffo as its Head of Intelligence. FOSA spokesperson Tebogo Mashilompane stated that this collaboration will enhance FOSA’s intelligence-gathering capabilities and support efforts to uncover corruption, misconduct and abuse of power. "Teffo brings vast and proven experience in policing, intelligence, and the legal fraternity. His extensive background in law enforcement and criminal investigations positions him as a valuable asset in strengthening FOSA’s capacity to combat corruption and criminality," said Mashilompane. Teffo is known for having represented accused persons in the ongoing Senzo Meyiwa murder trial. It is understood that as part of his role, Teffo will work closely with retired police detectives who are already conducting independent investigations. Teffo was accused of misconduct and misappropriation of funds by a number of clients who complained that despite them paying he never rendered services. The complaints against Teffo to the council came before he took on the Meyiwa case as legal counsel for several of the accused. But his antics during the trial formed part of the striking-off proceedings against him.
