It took 20 years to become an overnight success ⬇️
- $150 million in managed assets
- 1500+ mortgages
- 200+ properties
- 40+ crypto investments
It took many failures.
It was the following that gave me my first million-dollar year:
It all started over 25+ years ago when it wasn't cool to be self-employed.
No one thought about working for yourself like they do today.
Myself and a handful of friends started doing trade work as teenagers.
For me, it was landscaping that morphed into contracting.
Then, I took my contracting skills and bought my first residence at 19.
I fixed up the apartment on the property, moved in, then remodeled the house.
Sold the property after 2 years for the sweet tax-free gains.
I started buying properties in the Outer Banks of NC in the 2000s.
Then the market crashed, and, like all exposed, learned not to be leveraged without cash flow.
It was my next move that made a big difference.
I was remodeling another house with a private lender who said he invested elsewhere.
Where was this? Distressed non-performing underwater 2nd mortgages from the subprime era.
It was this next move that made a difference in my career.
Shortly after, my partner and I moved to Puerto Rico for the tax benefits.
We started buying REOs and loans from the banks there, making millions in profits.
It was a private party there where I first heard about crypto.
This would lead to the next big transition. It started slowly and then increased over the next year in 2018.
I would go on to invest in many different projects of all stages while still managing real estate assets.
Today, we actively manage a liquid crypto portfolio and multiple investments in funds across Web3.
I am also building new homes in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, where there is a supply shortage.
