When some responses to this are “why did journalists carry on asking them when the press officer told them not to?” it shows a distinct lack of understanding of the role of a journalist to hold people to account and that a press officer wants only to protect club’s best interests

The World Snooker Championship is staying at the Crucible. The tournament will remain in Sheffield until at least 2045. The event will stay at the Crucible in its current guise until 2028 and then return - after one or two editions elsewhere - to a revamped 1,500 seat arena.
