As expected, there has been more migration from X again this week. Bluesky & Threads seem to be the most popular alternatives for the time being. Have you secured handles on either or are you staying put?

Posts 'evaporate' from social media feeds differently. "Now" doesn't exist here anymore. It never really did. Instead of saying "today" or "yesterday" in your business posts, use generic language to broadcast. Keeps your posts relevant much longer.

A new season of snow and the US election fills our feeds too. Protect your mental health when using social media today, and maybe text a friend some positivity too.

Social media for business is more show than tell. Entertain, inform, and educate us if you want to stop us from scrolling.

Creative skill isn't always tangible. It's hard for non-creatives to pay for thinking or talent they can't imagine. It's why creatives are typically low paid performers, artists, and volunteer actors, working multiple jobs. Value creative talent over Ai & apps.

Sadly, many Social Media Managers and communications professionals still provide social media coverage and brand commitment as volunteers, or as part of their 'other' job. Eventually, this will change.
