What a year! BTC is down but on the ground things have been moving fast. We spawned @bitment in Jan 2025, officially launched production version in Sept. @wyattorourke_ and I hosted the first annual Bitcoin for Financial Services Summit this past Oct at the @SpaceDenver and more recently launched @BFFS_media as a all year round education vehicle for advisors looking to understand Bitcoin. We merged tax firms with @SatoshiPacioli and I couldn't be more excited to get to work hand in hand with the best team in the biz! Team has grown all around and we are going into 2026 with big ambitions to help business owners grow their business every month. Traveled to many events this year, hosted a few.. its been a wonderful and busy year. You can just do things and it is really fun to do it too! And met way too many amazing folks to list them all here but I must give a huge shoutout to the folks at @bitcoinpark_ . I joined as a member in January and this continues to be the best decision we made at @bitment all year because it afforded us the amazing opportunities we will now go into 2026 to continue building upon. @bitkite thank you for all you do and excited to see you at NEMS here soon. Bitcoin cost basis rules aren’t new—FIFO has always been the default when you can’t prove otherwise, and 2026 just turns up the enforcement dial with broker reporting.​ 2. Specific Identification is still allowed, but only if you can tie each disposal back to a clearly documented acquisition (dates, amounts, wallet/exchange, TXIDs, and consistent records).​ 3.
