Thrilled to share that this week I assumed a new position as a tenure-track Asst. Prof. at @csi_singapore @NUSMedicine joint appoint. with @idlabs_astar @ASTARsg, back where it all started. The lab will study T and B cells in infection and cancer, and we are actively recruiting!

Our most exciting finding is that symbitiotic bacteria of Ircinia are enriched for clusters of steroid biosynthesis genes, a rarity among prokaryotes, that are under strong evolutionary constraints and hence likely important for survival in the interior of the sponge.
