No surprises, more inclined to play short, engage the press & play over. Reminder: Man Utd had the MOST touches in their defensive third in PL 24/25, we are now 18th for that same metric. There has been a HUGE shift in what the idea is on the ball this season.

Regarding #MUFC and the expected sensationalism across the board. Manchester United supporters are not celebrating defeat; they are acknowledging a defined style of football and a coached side. When the likes of Roy Keane lament anything resembling this, he’s contradicting the principles that good performances will inevitably result in points. He’s paid to provide these sensational takes. Logical United supporters are not happy the team lost, and continues to struggle to find the back of the net, but they recognise that if that level of commitment continues, wins will follow. Wins breed momentum and confidence, and what we saw today was night and day compared to anything witnessed during 2024-25. Every Tom, Dick and Harry goes out of their way for social traction at the slightest hint of adversity. Sometimes, you can lose a game of football that you deserved to win. That’s what happened today. Arsenal supporters will know they got away with one.
