How good has Mavropanos been for West Ham recently? He’ll be going in my bet later… He’s established himself as a key player in both boxes during their relegation battle, scoring twice across the last three games and helping the side to three clean sheets since February. It’s the attacking threat he brings that I’ll be focussing on today. He scored twice against Wolves last time out and scored a massive equaliser against City before that. It’s in the air he’s most dangerous. He’s had six shots across his last five games, four have been headers and all six came from corners. In fact, all 18 of his shots have come from set pieces this season and 14 have been with his head. Given how instrumental he’s been in lifting the team recently I’d expect Mavropanos to make his presence felt again tonight in what is a massive game. He should have chances too, West Ham have had 5+ corners in six of their last seven games, and actually managed eight when they played Palace earlier in the season.
