Big shout out to Euan ‘Lazarus’ Aitchison who’s playing today despite ending up in hospital after our game on Tuesday. 🎉🎉

The ref wasn’t at fault for the two soft goals we conceded. However, if that is the standard of officiating or how they are being instructed to enforce the laws of the game by the powers that be, then the game a lot of us love and recognise is in big trouble.

The lads were immense last night. Most pleased with keeping a clean sheet against a side with the attacking quality H&Y have. Set a new level for ourselves, now it’s how we maintain it.

First half we lacked quality. Second half a lot better, continued to battle against a resolute Amersham defence and showed great character to keep going and score late on. Had chances to win it but didn’t take them… attention turns to Saturday which will be a tough test.

Excited for the season to start. Couldn’t have asked for more from the boys across a very demanding pre season schedule. Let’s see where it takes us ⚽️
